My grandparents moved from their native town Montefosca in the Natisone Valleys to Spessa di Cividale. They set up the farm focusing on arable farming.nonno irene montefosca spessa


The first Friulian Tocai vineyard is planted on our farm and, since then we have been working with enthusiasm and taking care of the vineyard and wine production.


I started working on the farm, thanks to the support of my husband Andrea. I continued what my family had built, converting all the production to organic farming.


We opened our farmhouse Borgo dei Sapori, here you can taste traditional dishes from Friuli. We also started providing our guests with three delightful B&B rooms with a view of our vineyards.


We started breeding pigs. To guarantee animal welfare, our pigs live in open stables according to organic farming rules.

An important year in our life, the one in which our twins Alberto and Federico were born. Since then, our home is filled with happiness.

I looked after the agronomic aspect, winery management, and winemaking; to fully express my concept of Organic Wine.

SI follow all the matters of the company, while Andrea is often abroad for commitments related to his primary profession as a track engineer of the World Tourism Championship.

When he is back home, he joins me in the daily work in the fields and the cellar.


I have focused on the production of organic wine increased the vineyard area of the farm, including two other autochthonous varieties Ribolla Gialla and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, which will complete the range of wines produced in the company. We have Friulano, Sauvignon, and Ribolla as white wines and Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso as red ones.

My dream is to become one of the producers of the Colli Orientali del Friuli recognized for the quality and correctness of the wines.
